The Wunambal people welcome visitors to Ngauwudu (Mitchell Plateau), where you'll be just a short distance from some of the Kimberley's other wonderful attractions, such as Little Mertens Falls and Big Mertens Falls. Guests have the unique opportunity to explore the lodge's untouched surrounds and stroll through the Livistona palms and eucalyptus trees. Perhaps cool off in the camp waterhole or relax on the overlooking deck. From the lodge it's just a short trip to Mitchell Falls.

Arriving via the remote Kalumburu Road, you'll enjoy a truly memorable journey past breathtaking scenery and rare and extraordinary Aboriginal art.

Once you are settled into your accommodation, you'll be free to discover Aboriginal art, rainforest, woodland and waterfalls, as well as its most famous attraction, the four-tiered Mitchell Falls, just a short drive away. From there, take a captivating walk along a well-defined yet remote walking trail, through stunning landscapes to the falls.

How To Get There
1. Travel 58.9 km from King Edward River crossing along Port Warrender Road until you reach two drums.
2. From the roadside drums, travel 3.5 km, crossing two creeks, before reaching Camp Creek crossing.
3. From Camp Creek crossing, travel 2 km, turning left at a 'No Entry' sign.
4. Travel 1 km to a creek crossing.
5. From the creek crossing, travel a further 100 m, turning left at the 'KWA' sign.
